Fort Sheridan Historical Society

The Fort Sheridan Historical Society has been created to honor, support, educate and promote our town’s importance in military history from the late 1880’s to present.

Our long-term goal is to establish a museum.  We hope to compile a living history of those who have created the story of the Fort.  We will do this by sharing the stories, photographs and artifacts pertaining to Fort Sheridan.

Our mid-range goal is to raise funds, collect artifacts and memorialize as many stories of the people who spent time at Fort Sheridan (past and present) as possible.

Our short-term goal is to earn your support for this new organization by creating fund raising events that are educational and entertaining. We also want to have some fun along the way.

Fort Sheridan has a very rich history in people, architecture and mission.  Please contact us to share your knowledge, stories, photographs or anything else you have to share.
