"Why live in Fort Sheridan?
It is beautiful.
It is on Lake Michigan.
It is peaceful.
It has everything: families, couples, singles.
It has homes, family homes, condos.
It is near the train (and Starbucks).
It is seeped in history.
It is not New Orleans.
It is close to perfect."

"The combination of history, beauty, and architecture is unsurpassed. I live in a park like setting overlooking a forest preserve. Lake Michigan and the Metra station frame the development with the restaurants of Highwood and downtown Highland Park and Lake Forest just minutes away."

"Fort Sheridan is an extraordinary place to live. The beauty here is unrivaled. I love to take walks among the historic homes and century old trees and then heading down to the beach. The kids and I spend a lot of time playing in the sand and throwing rocks into the waves. The trek to the beach has become even more enjoyable with the gorgeous trails recently finished by the Forest Preserve District. The trails also weave around the historic parade ground. We ride our bikes along the trail and then take breaks to play in the seemingly endless parade ground area. And because downtown Highwood is so close, sometimes we walk into town to get ice cream or coffee."
"Another special thing about Fort Sheridan is the sense of community we share. When we are with the kids out of the house, we head over to one of the tot lots and find playmates. We have organized several neighborhood playgroups over the years. And each summer we have a neighborhood picnic that we call the Town of Fort Sheridan Community Day. We bring food and play games in the Meadow, and then host a concert under the Water Tower with the Great Lakes Naval Band."
"If you haven’t checked out the Fort, come visit! It is a magical place."

I moved to Fort Sheridan because I wanted to walk on the beach but didn’t want the headaches of a beach house. I wanted scenic hiking trails literally at my front door. And to live in a historical environment in a community where every home or condo is unique and doesn’t look like a cookie cutter design. And I wanted close proximity to the cultural and culinary arts like Ravinia and the renowned fine dining of Highwood.
"And I found them all at Fort Sheridan."

"My husband and I moved from downtown Chicago to Fort Sheridan. We searched up and down the Northshore for a home or town home and fell right into the open arms of Fort Sheridan. We purchased a fabulous newer town home and welcomed a baby girl ten months later. We decided after 2 ½ years in our town home to purchase a home two blocks away."
"What is so attractive about the Fort is that whatever your status is, you will find people just like you here. There is really something for everyone at the Fort. I can positively say that I am very lucky to be part of such a magnificent historic town filled with such wonderful people."
